Case 4- Angioplasty for high grade right internal carotid

Case History
A 64 year old male with recurrent episodes of left body hemiparesis and hemiparesthesias. Initial arteriogram indicates high grade stenosis of the petrous portion of the right internal carotid artery at the skull base intracranially, with a tandem moderate stenosis just above. The patient underwent angioplasty of the high grade right internal carotid artery stenosis with resolution of normal flow in the right hemisphere. Following the procedure the patient's symptoms were completely resolved.
