TWELVE-HOUR WINDOW TREATMENT FACILITIES
ERLANGER MEDICAL CENTER offers interventional
therapy for acute stroke patients up to 12 hours from
the on-set of symptoms. A combination regimen called
the Fujisawa Study is available to patients who qualify
for participation. Treatment consists of administering
the clot-buster drug t-PA, combined with a compound
FK506 that may provide neuro-protection during acute

SIX-HOUR WINDOW TREATMENT FACILITIES
ERLANGER MEDICAL CENTER and MEMORIAL
HOSPITAL both accept patients whose symptoms manifest
within a six-hour time frame. Treatment protocols are
approved at these facilities for administering t-PA
INTRAVENOUSLY or INTRA-ARTERIALLY. Qualified patient
candidates may also receive a potent neuro-protective
agent under the aegis of the on-going RREACT/ ONO study.

THREE-HOUR WINDOW TREATMENT FACILITIES
ERLANGER MEDICAL CENTER, MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and the PARKRIDGE
MEDICAL CENTER are all approved to provide INTRAVENOUS
t-PA to patients presenting with acute strokes. The
treatment window in these cases is three hours from
the on-set of a stroke emergency
